CAF U-23 Championship

The U-23 African Cup of Nations (English: African U -23 Championship ) is a football tournament between the best teams in Africa for male soccer players aged under 23. The competition is organized by the African Football Association Confederation of African Football ( CAF). It was first played in 2011, and served as a qualification tournament for the Olympic Football Tournament 2012 in London, where the first three teams qualified directly. The fourth-placed Senegal denied in April 2012 in Coventry, a play-off against the fourth- placed teams from the Asian qualifiers in Oman, which he won 2-0 and qualified as the fourth African team for the Olympic tournament.
