ÄŒAFC Prague

ČAFC Praha is a Czech football club from Prague. The club was founded in 1899 as Český Athletic Football Club & Royal Vinohrady in 1902 the first official champion of the Czech Football Association CSF. 1925-1928 and 1929/30, was CAFKA how the club is popularly called, first class. From the 2008/ 09 season, the club plays in the přebor fünftklassigen Krajský after one has been třída in the previous season champion of 1.A.

History

On November 15, 1899 Sports enthusiasts founded in Royal Vinohrady a sports club with the name Český & Athletic Football Club, ČAFC short, its football team in 1901 took part in the Czech championship. 1902 organized by the Czech Football Association CSF, the first official championship, but without the time by far the strongest team, Slavia Prague. In the final, defeated ČAFC the AFK Kolin with 2:2 and 5:1.

In rows of the club were several later Czechoslovak national team, including Karel Pesek - Kada, Karel Čipera, František Hojer, Antonín Kaliba, Václav Pilát, Rudolf Sloupsko - STAPL. Ladislav Ženíšek, Vice World Champion in 1934, came from the youth of the association.

Also in the following years was ČAFC to the front Bohemian clubs, even if it should not be enough for a title. With the introduction of professionalism in 1925 ČAFC belonged to the professional camp, but did not get beyond midfield placings of the first league. In the years 1925 and 1926, the team moved into the final of the Central Bohemian Cup, but was inferior to each clearly with 0:7 against Sparta Prague and Slavia Prague with 00:10 against.

In the 1927/28 season CAFKA finished seventh and last place but managed to 1928/29, its chances of promotion. However, the season 1929/30, was the last Erstligasaison Prague suburbanites.

Professional status had the ČAFC until 1935, when the separation between professional and amateur football in Czechoslovakia was lifted. How well the youth work of the club was also later proved winning the Junior Championship in 1942.

After the Second World War changed several times, the carrier operating the club, after a merger with Sparta Krc even had to play as Tatran Stavomontáže B 1953. Between 1968 and 1979 the club was allowed to use its traditional name, then up to the Velvet Revolution was the club Tatran Stavební závody. In these years, and even thereafter, CAFKA did not have the fourth highest league addition.

Venues

The first place the club was between the streets and Kolínská Čáslavská. 1903 had ČAFC move for the first time and found a new venue close to Flora, who, however, in 1905 the club lost again. 1908 was ČAFC a new stadium on the present site Jiřího z Lobkovic. This venue lost the club in 1928 and moved to Spořilov. The local stadium gave way in 1982 to a highway, replacement ČAFC got near the palace Záběhlice, where the club plays today.
