Caja Laboral

The Caja Laboral (full name Caja Laboral Popular Sociedad Cooperativa de Crédito ) is a Spanish credit union headquartered in Arrasate, a town in the Basque Country.

History

The bank was founded in 1959 on the initiative of the Catholic priest Arizmendiarrieta to support the cooperative movement in the Basque Country. The credit union is one of the world's largest cooperative Mondragon Corporation, which today stands as a global company.
