Cajun dance party is an indie band, founded in 2005 in London.

History

Cajun Dance Party were founded in London in 2005. Already in 2006 they recorded their first demo and published in 2007 her first single titled "The Next Untouchable " which became the " Track of the Week " at the NME. This was followed by more singles until they signed a contract with XL Recordings. Their debut album, they took on during the school holidays with Bernard Butler and published it in April 2008 under the title "The Colourful Life ". The album made ​​it into the UK charts at number 49, the eponymous single reached with the French music magazine Les Inrockuptibles in the critic charts 43rd place

The future of the English band is uncertain, as Daniel Blumberg and Max Bloom left the band in late 2009 to work on her new project " Yuck ". An official dissolution of the band, there was never, however.
