Cajun Jig

Cajun Jig, also known as Cajun One Step, is one of the easiest dance forms of Cajun Dance. The Cajun Jig was particularly popular in Louisiana in the 80s and 90s of the 20th century and is still danced mainly there today.

There is only one basic step. Often the sequence of steps is not interrupted during the same song by other dances in a 6 /8 time, especially when regularly exercising popular or competitive dance groups. There is a similarity to the Merengue.

In addition to the simple basic step of the dance can be varied by changes in arm position or by turns. Your hands are taken, for example, often crossed.
