California Lutheran University

The California Lutheran University ( CLU) is a private university of the Evangelical Lutheran Church in America in the city of Thousand Oaks in Ventura County, California (USA).

The CLU was founded in 1959 by the Swedish Migration Family Pederson as California Lutheran College. 1986, the name was changed to " University ". Today, about 4,000 listeners to study in the College of Arts and Sciences with 36 majors, the School of Management and the School of Education, one third in Master and MBA programs. The faculty consists of 154 full-time and 202 part-time lecturers. Despite the annual tuition fee of almost $ 33,000, the rush is substantial, but only about half of all applicants (2010: 47.2 %) is recorded. U.S. News and World Report ranked the university 18th in among regional universities in the western United States.
