Calogero

Calogero ( born July 30, 1971 in Échirolles at Grenoble), born Calogero Maurici, is a French singer and musician.

Biography

Calogero was born in 1971, the son of Sicilian parents in Échirolles. As a child, he started together with his three- year-older brother with the flute play. Later, other instruments such as organ, piano and guitar followed. Together with his brother and his girlfriend, he founded the band Les Charts 1986. The trio of France Gall was supported. Between 1989 and 1997 published Les Charts five albums and disbanded in the late 1990s on.

Back in 1992, Calogero was heard as background singers on the second album by Pascal Obispo. This resulted in a friendship between two musicians developed. In the late 1990s Calogero began working for other artists to write songs, including Florent Pagny for, Ismaël Lô, Hélène Segara and Patrick Fiori. In 2000, Calogero released his debut album " Au milieu des autres ", in which his brother and his girlfriend participated.
