Cam Ranh International Airport (IATA: CXR, ICAO: VVCR ) located at Cam Ranh Bay in South Vietnam and the airport is the 25 km northern coastal town of Nha Trang.

History

The airport was built and operated during the Vietnam War by the U.S. Army. Since the city of Nha Trang airport was too small, the Cam Ranh airport was expanded for the civil aviation and opened in 2004. In addition to the 3048 m long concrete runway, a new station building was built.
