Features

Macroscopic characteristics

The Ellerlinge form relatively small to medium sized, mostly unimpressive colored, structured in hat and stem fruiting bodies. The convex hats bend at the edges with age upwards. In contrast to the mostly heavily slimy worm Lingen they have dry hat and stick surfaces. Only the hats of Glasigweißen Ellerlings are slightly sticky in humid weather. The smooth surfaces often feel greasy and change their color when saturated ( Hygrophanität ). The glass - like flesh to wax-like fins are almost removed, or removed. They are widely grown on a stick or interconnected decurrent and often by cross- veins ( anastomoses ). A veil is not available. The spore powder is white, the color reaction with iodine is negative.

Microscopic characteristics

With the aid of the microscope, the species can be identified by the lamellae: it is constructed irregularly. Hygrophorus other hand, have a bilateral, wax caps a regular lamellae.

Ecology

The Ellerlinge inhabit in Central Europe as the wax caps ( Hygrocybe ) mostly grassland, especially nutrient-poor meadows, pastures and grasslands. You are Saprobionten, possibly also symbionts with plants. Most species have specialized in lean, often quite dry habitats and are sensitive to intensive grazing and (especially mineral) fertilization.

Endangering

The Ellerlinge residents are generally nutrient-poor grasslands, through the conversion of grasslands and nutrient-poor pastures in profitable rich grassland and the input of nutrients from the air or from adjacent agricultural land, many species in Central Europe are endangered.

For Danish ( Ellerlings and ) Saftling occurrence - after Gminder as applicable for Germany - following meanings classification of Saftling deposit was made: sites with 17-32 Saftling species as a whole, while a single control 11-20 species of nature conservation of national importance, are of regional importance locations with 9-16 ( during an inspection 6-10 ) species of local importance such species, while sites with only 1-3 species are rather insignificant with 4-8 (3-5).

Species

The genus includes about 20 species in Europe:

Violet Gray Ellerling Cuphophyllus lacmus

Ochre Pale Virgin Ellerling Cuphophyllus ochraceopallida

Orange meadow Neller Ling Cuphophyllus pratensis

Juchten Ellerling Cuphophyllus russocoriaceus

Virgin Ellerling Cuphophyllus virgineus

System

Like many fungi, the delineation and conception of species by various authors differ even among the Ellerlingen. In addition, the Ellerlinge were formerly assigned to the juice Lingen. Despite the similar fruiting bodies but are not closely related to the genus, which is a separate genus justifies.

Importance

The Ellerlinge are valuable as indicators of nutrient-poor and largely undisturbed meadows and dry grasslands companies from a nature conservation point of view.
