Cambridge Journal of Economics

The Cambridge Journal of Economics ( CJE ) is an economics journal. It is published by Oxford University Press in its journal Oxford Journals series with a frequency of six issues per year.

History

The Cambridge Journal of Economics was founded by the Cambridge Political Economy Society and first published in March 1977 with a frequency of six issues per year appearing. Historically, the CJE is closely linked with the Keynesian and post-Keynesian Cambridge School.

Content

The Cambridge Journal of Economics, founded in the traditions of Marx, Keynes, Kalecki, Joan Robinson and Kaldor, ie contributions of heterodox economics and other social science disciplines welcome. Within this orientation, the journal provides a focus for theoretical, applied, interdisciplinary, history of science and methodological work, with an emphasis on realistic analysis, the development of critical perspectives, the provision and use of empirical evidence as well as the development of policy. The editors say in this spirit inputs to economic and social issues welcome, including unemployment, inflation, production organization, the distribution of the social product, class conflict, economic underdevelopment, globalization and international economic integration, changing forms and limits of markets and planning, uneven development and instability in the world economy.

In a study of Kalaitzidakis et al. (2003) took the Cambridge Journal of Economics No. 77 of 159 evaluated publications, however, declined in an updated study of Kalaitzidakis et al. (2011) ranked 147 out of 209 compared Publications from. In economics publication ranking of the Tinbergen Institute at the University of Amsterdam, Cambridge Journal of Economics is out ( " good scientific journals for all research fields of the Tinbergen Institute " ) in the category B.

The Impact Factor of the Cambridge Journal of Economics was in 2012 at 0.951. In the statistics of the Social Sciences Citation Index, the magazine was done with this Impact Factor of 140 out of 333 journals in the category Economics.
