Camel Meriem

Camel Meriem ( born October 18, 1979 in Audi Court ) is a French football player with Algerian citizenship.

Career

Association

Meriem started his professional career with FC Sochaux. There he played between 1998 and 2001 and achieved nine goals in 92 games. In 2001, he was able to celebrate with the Les Lionceaux promotion to the Ligue 1. In the winter of 2001/02 season, he spent four years at Bordeaux, but was borrowed for the season 2003/ 04 Olympique Marseille, where he succeeded in 31 encounters three goals. With Bordeaux in summer 2002, he won the Coupe de la Ligue 2-1 to FC Lorient. With the start of the 2005 season, he signed for AS Monaco a new contract. This still has validity until 2009. The contract was not renewed and since he was Unemployed. In February 2010 he joined the greeks between first division club Aris Thessaloniki where he signed a contract until 2014.

National

Meriem was junior national team of France and took part in the U21 European Championship in Switzerland in 2002 in part. For the French A-Team he ran between 2004 and 2006 at four times. Due to a torn ACL in April 2006, he could not be nominated for the World Cup squad in 2006.
