Camélia Jordana
Camélia Jordana Aliouane (* September 15, 1992 in Toulon, Var ) is a French singer. She took part in the 2009 talent show Nouvelle Star, the French version of Germany sucht den Superstar, where she was eliminated in the semifinals. Shortly after, she signed a recording contract with Sony Music.
Biography
Camélia Jordana comes from a family of Algerian immigrant background. She has an older sister and a younger brother. At sixteen she decided to participate in the casting of the seventh season of Nouvelle Star in Marseille. She convinced the jury with their interpretation of What a Wonderful World by Louis Armstrong and managed to finally jump into the semi-finals.
After they had signed with the record label, Sony Music, Camélia Jordana released their eponymous debut album on March 29, 2010. With 10,169 copies sold in its first week, it reached ninth place in the French album charts.
Their first single Non Non Non ( Écouter Barbara ) appeared in France, although only as an audio file on the Internet, but reached the third place in the national download charts.
In April 2010, Camélia Jordana worked with André Manoukian So in Love on the album together.
