Cameron is a settlement on community- free area and the administrative seat of Cameron Parish in the U.S. state of Louisiana. For statistical purposes, the place has been combined to form a census-designated place (CDP). In 2010, Cameron had 406 inhabitants.

Cameron is part of the Lake Charles Metropolitan Statistical Area, the metropolitan area around the city of Lake Charles.

Geography

Cameron lies between the brackish Calcasieu Lake, the Gulf of Mexico and the connecting channel therebetween which forms the mouth of the Calcasieu River.
