Camp Julien

Camp Julien was a field camp in Afghanistan, the Canadian Forces from spring 2003 to November 29, 2005 in the southwest of Kabul, near the Darul Aman Palace. The size of the fenced area was about 1 kilometers by 0.5 kilometers.

While the Canadian Operation Athena this camp was the main base of Canadian soldiers. In August 2003, there were 1,950 Canadian soldiers on the ground, supplemented by about 400 international civilian workers.
