Camping (Microframework)

Camping is an a web application framework that has been written in Ruby. It remains consistently below 4 kB, so the entire source code can be displayed on a single page.

It was originally written by the anonymous developer why the lucky stiff (or " _why " ) and developed up to version 1.5. This is still available as a Ruby gem, although it has disappeared from the web.

The software is now being developed by the Community. The latest version is available on Github.

Survey

Camping stores a complete web application in a single file, like a bundle of many small CGI scripts, but it organizes it according to the Model-View- Controller paradigm, such as Ruby on Rails. Camping applications can be single small niche applications, so to speak, as a small cog in a big machine, but they can also be easily ported to Ruby on Rails.
