Can Yücel

Can Yücel ( born 1926 in Istanbul, † 1999 in Izmir) was a Turkish author of political poetry.

He published mainly poetry books. 1950 Apparitions Yavra. From the 1970s until his death published numerous other works, including some essays, for example, about his poetic work Can'dan Yazılar.

Wilpert following had Yücels eloquent political poetry the " characteristic style of modern vagabonds "

Yücel was the son of Hasan Ali Yücels, the founder of the Turkish village institutions and education minister of Turkey.
