Canadian Railway Museum

The Musée canadien ferroviaire ( English: Canadian Railway Museum ) is a transport museum in Delson and Saint-Constant near Montreal, the approximately 140 copies houses the largest collection of iron and tram vehicles in Canada. In addition, the museum has more than 250,000 objects and documents.

Some of the exhibited locomotives:

  • CPR # 144: the oldest surviving Canadian locomotive
  • CPR No. 5935: the largest Canadian-built steam locomotive
  • CN No. 4100: the most powerful Canadian steam locomotive
  • LNER No. 4489: a copy of the British class A4. This engine went back to England in 2013, was worked and exhibited in the Museum in York with 3 other Gresley A4.

Some vehicles are operated on the museum grounds, and every Sunday there is a train on the short route to Montée des Bouleaux.
