CANalyzer

CANoe is an analysis software of the Vector computer science GmbH. With the widespread especially in vehicle and control equipment suppliers developing software, the data traffic is analyzed in serial bus systems. Here are relevant bus systems CAN, LIN, FlexRay, Ethernet and MOST and CAN-based protocols such as SAE J1939, CANopen, ARINC 825 and many more.

Description

1992 Vector has offered with the CANoe the world's first CAN software. Since then, the CANoe has continually evolved and is considered the world's leading source analysis system for CAN buses. In addition to the main application electronic networking in the automobile, the use of CANoe in many other industries, such as rail cars, commercial vehicles, special vehicles, avionics, medical and many more done.

New approaches in the automotive industry to network with IP architectures are supported by CANoe.

Besides the pure bus monitoring function CANalyzer contains many stimulating and analysis functions to trigger message traffic and data content and analysis. These are compiled in a test setup. The functionality is customizable and extensible by the user. This is achieved by an integrated programming language compiled.

The data is presented and evaluated both raw and symbolic. For this purpose, the data format was developed in 1992 by DBC already vectors, which has developed in the automotive industry for de-facto standard for the exchange of CAN descriptions. In accordance with the relevant standards in the other bus systems are supported, for example FIBEX in FlexRay, LIN LDF at EDS / DCF / XDD for CANopen.

Versions

Version 1.0 was released in 1992. The current version of CANoe 8.1 (June 2013).

CANoe is available in different variants. This refers to the range of functions (fundamental, expert, professional), to supported bus systems (CAN, FlexRay, ... ) and supported higher-level protocols (SAE J1939, CANopen, ...).
