Canaman, Camarines Sur

Canaman is a Philippine municipality in the province of Camarines Sur. It is spoken Bikolano, Filipino / Tagalog and English.

The municipality Canaman is centrally located in the province of Camarines Sur on the island of Luzon. The municipality Canaman bordered to the north on the community of Magarao, to the south by the municipalities and Camaligan Gainza, to the east by Naga City, on the west by the municipalities Libmanan and Pamplona and on the southwest by the Bicol River. Canaman extends from north to south at 6 km, and from east to west at 14 km. The Municipality of Canaman consists of 24 barangays. Nine of them are urban barangays while the remaining fifteen barangays are agricultural. A large part of the population lives on rice cultivation.

The name originates from the word Canaman Kana, the " building materials " means. It is connected to the locative suffix -man so that the result is a word " indicative place " the one in which there are " building materials ".
