Cancer 4 Cure

Cancer 4 Cure is the third solo album by American hip hop musician El -P. It was released on 22 May 2012 on the independent label Fat Possum Records. The play The Full Retard was released as a single. El -P dedicated the album to the 2008 deceased rapper Camu Tao.

Cancer 4 Cure reached number 61 of the U.S. album charts, the Billboard 200 in the first week of 6,600 units of the album were sold.

Criticism

The e-zine Laut.de rated El -Ps album with four out of five possible points. Dani Fromm characterizes Cancer 4 Cure as music that vermittele hearing, " that at any moment the earth opens up [ ... ] and that immediately breaks out the apocalypse. " This deserves the attribute " whiteness". In the first piece Request Denied valley is " an oppressive atmosphere [ ... ] across the country ." The instrumentation drawings by " dominant Drums " from, " which can be guessed organ tones and fiepsige electronics account for more than concrete" behind. El -P stand out due to a " reluctance [n ] to Happiness" from which manifests itself both in music and in the lyrics. End of 2012, the editors of Laut.de Cancer 4 Cure chose to place 22 of its list of the " 25 Best Hip Hop Albums 2012".
