Candida the Elder

Candida the Elder ( † 78 in Naples) was an early Christian saints. The designation has been made to distinguish between Candida the Younger, who came also from Naples.

Candida was the wife of Asprenas, the first bishop of Naples. According to legend, she was the first person that Peter encountered on his arrival in Naples ( Italy) on his second journey from Antioch to Rome. Your headaches have subsided, when Peter spoke to her and also Asprenas, who was ill, and recovered suddenly, whereupon both were baptized.

Commemoration of the Saints is the 4th of September. She is patron saint of Naples.
