Candlepower

The candle power is a unit used to about 1950, the photometry for the radiation from a light source ( see also Hefner candle). It produces at 1 meter from an illuminance of approximately 1 lux

The candle power was in the 1940s, replaced by the new candle and finally through the SI unit candela.
