Cangyuan Va Autonomous County

The Autonomous District Cangyuan of Va (沧源 佤族 自治县, Cangyuan Wǎzú Zizhixian in short,沧源 县, Cangyuan Xiàn ) is an autonomous county of Va of the prefecture-level city Lincang (临沧) in the west of China's Yunnan province. Its main town is the large village Mengdong (勐 董 镇). Of 1999, the county 157 219 inhabitants.

The Burmese Guangyun Temple (广 允 缅 寺, Guangyun mian si), a temple of Hinayana Buddhism, and the rock paintings of Cangyuan (沧源 崖画, Cangyuan Yahua ) available since 1988 and 2001 respectively on the list of monuments of the People's Republic of China.
