Çankırıspor

Çankırıspor is a Turkish football club from the city Çankırı. Their home games discharged from the Black and Whites in Çankırı Atatürk city stadium. The team is referred to by fans as Genç Yarenler.

History

The club was founded in 1993 under the name Çankırı Belediyespor by the then mayor Raif Oktay and not be operational only indoor sports. 1994 extended the newly elected Mayor Ahmet Bukan the club to a football department. After about two years in the regional amateur leagues the club was relegated to the 1995/96 season in the then third- highest division, the 3rd Lig (today TFF Lig 2 ), Up.

In the summer of 2012, the city administration withdrew from the club's management and handed all the powers of the new club president Sevda Karaali. Karaali away the summer of 2012 the term Belediye (English: City Administration) from the association name, so the name Çankırıspor remained.
