Cannoli

Cannolo (plural: cannoli ) is the name of a filled pastries from Sicily. It consists of a fried pastry roll with a sweet creamy filling of ricotta, vanilla, cocoa, chocolate chips, or may contain candied fruit.

Cannoli were originally one of several lard biscuits that were eaten at Shrovetide, all year but are now made ​​over. Today they are offered everywhere in Italy by larger bakeries and restaurants.
