Canton of Elne

The Canton Elne is a French administrative unit in the arrondissement of Perpignan, in the département of Pyrénées- Orientales and the Languedoc- Roussillon region. Its main town is Elne. Representatives of the General Council of the department since 2001 Marcel Mateu.

The canton is 63.99 km ² and has 22 526 inhabitants (as of January 1, 2011 ), which corresponds to a population density of 339 inhabitants per km ².
