Canton of Mèze
The Canton Meze is located in the department of Hérault, in the arrondissement of Montpellier. He has 32 365 inhabitants (as of 1 January 2011). Its area covers 158 km ² and makes up 2.6 % of the area of the department of Hérault of.
Economy
The most important industry is the oyster farming in Thau lagoon, which is exercised in particular in Mèze and Bouzigues. In addition, viticulture and tourism are important.
