Canton of Saint-Gengoux-le-National
The canton of Saint- Gengoux- le-National is a French administrative unit in the arrondissement of Mâcon, in the department of Saône -et -Loire and in the Bourgogne region. Its capital is Saint- Gengoux- le-National. Representatives of the General Council of the department since 2001, Jean -Pierre Chapelon ( DVG ).
The canton is 155.14 km ² and has 3880 inhabitants ( 1999), which corresponds to a population density of 25 inhabitants per km ². He is on average 255 meters above sea level, between 193 meters in Saint- Gengoux- le-National and 551 meters in Chissey -lès -Mâcon.
