Cantons of the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina

The cantons are the federal units that make up the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina consists, in turn, is one of the two entities of Bosnia and Herzegovina.

The Federation is divided into 10 cantons.

Two of the cantons (Central Bosnia and Herzegovina -Neretva ) have a special status as a binational cantons in which the consent of both the Croatian and the Bosnian mandate holders is required for important decisions. Of the remaining Una -Sana, Tuzla, Zenica -Doboj, Bosnian Podrinje and Sarajevo are (mostly ) Croatian cantons (mostly ) Bosniak, Posavina, West Herzegovina and Livno as.

The cantons are in turn divided into municipalities ( Opčine ).
