Cap d' Agde is a district of the French town of Agde, on the Mediterranean coast of the Golfe du Lion, about halfway between the Rhônemündung and the Spanish border, about halfway between the cities of Montpellier and Narbonne in the department of Hérault.
History
It was originally planned as a port city of Agde Cap d' Agde by Cardinal Richelieu.
1939, the internment camp d' Agde was established which began about 25,000 followers and fighters of the defeated republican government of the Spanish Civil War. On the same site a municipal campsite was eröffenet on 1 July 1961. Cap d' Agde was developed in the two decades around the turn of the millennium a popular resort.
