Cap Norfeu

Norfeu cape is a cape in the Natural Park of Cap de Creus on the Costa Brava in Catalonia, Spain, between the towns of Roses and Cadaqués in the west to the east. The Cap Norfeu forms the south-eastern tip of the Cap de Creus peninsula.

Particularity

Nature, with its biological wealth is as intact as the Cap Norfeu no other place in the Natural Park of Cap de Creus.

Naming

The name is taken from Cap Norfeu Greek mythology: The famous singer Orpheus went singing on this coast with his ship over, whereupon the Pyrenees approached him to listen to him. They lost close to the balance on the water and plunged into the sea, this small peninsula emerged that has since been called the Cape of Orpheus.
