Cape Baba

The Cape Baba ( Baba Turkish Burun ) is the westernmost point of both Turkey and Asia.

It is located on the western tip of Anatolia on the Aegean Sea. At Cape Baba is the place Babakale.

The distance to the Cape Deschnjow, located at the Bering Strait at the eastern end of the Chukchi Peninsula (northeast Russia) and Asia, is about 8223 km; this corresponds to the largest east-west extension of the Asian continent. The largest expansion within Asia between Cape Deschnjow and Bab al- Mandab in Yemen with about 10,858 km.
