Capgemini

Capgemini, a consulting and IT services company and the largest corporate consultancy with European roots. Headquartered in Paris, the company is listed on the Paris Stock Exchange under the name of Cap Gemini SA recorded and included in the CAC40.

History

Capgemini was founded by Serge Kampf in 1967 as Société pour la Gestion des Enterprises et le Traitement de l' Information ( Sogeti, German Society of corporate management and data processing). Starting in 1973, carried a majority stake (CAP, Centre d'analyze et de programmation ) and an acquisition (Gemini computer system ) and in 1975 the name was changed to CAP Gemini Sogeti. 1985 Cap Gemini Sogeti has been listed on the Paris Stock Exchange.

After further acquisitions, the group of companies in 1996 renamed Cap Gemini. After the acquisition of the consulting division of Ernst & Young in 2000, the company operated as Cap Gemini Ernst & Young. Since 2004, the Group trades under the name of Capgemini. Sogeti was a sister company within the corporate group.

Business

Capgemini With around 130,000 employees worldwide and been represented by its own account, with offices in more than 40 countries. Worldwide sales for the 2013 financial year amounted to 10.1 billion euros. The Capgemini Group is divided into four strategic business units: Consulting Services ( branded Capgemini Consulting), Technology Services, Outsourcing Services and Local Professional Services ( Sogeti under the brand name ). In Central Europe, 9581 (December 2012 including outsourcing center ) Employees in Germany, Switzerland, Austria, Hungary, Slovakia, the Czech Republic, Poland, Romania, Croatia and Russia operate.

The Capgemini Germany holding company based in Berlin, is responsible for the business in Central Europe. The operating business in Germany is by the Capgemini Germany GmbH, based in Berlin ( herein also 2011, the subsidiary Capgemini sd & m risen ) and Capgemini Outsourcing Services GmbH, based in Dusseldorf out. In early 2011, the company CS Consulting was bought with EUR 50 million in sales. The company is represented at several locations in Germany: Berlin, Dortmund, Dusseldorf, Hamburg, Hanover, Lahr, Lübeck, Cologne, Menden, Munich, Nuremberg, Offenbach am Main, Stuttgart and Troisdorf.
