Captain Bluebear

Captain Bluebear by Walter Moers is a figure who was known by the puppet series Captain Blaubärs yarn in the program with the mouse.

Action

Captain Bluebeard inhabited together with the rat police guy and his grandchildren, the bears yellow, green and pink, the stranded trawler Elvira, located near the fictional town Rumsrüttelkoog on a rocky cliff. In earlier episodes also popped up on the penguin Amundsen. The main purpose in life of Captain Blue Bear is supposed to tell his grandchildren yarns about his numerous voyages. While the overall story is presented as a puppet, the yarn in the form of animated Einspielern is visualized as a flashback. 2006, based on the novel by Walter Moers and the same musical was premiered The 13 ½ Lives of Captain Bluebear in the Cologne Musical Dome. The music comes from Martin Lingnau, the lyrics by Heiko Wohlgemuth.

On 16 November 2008, the TV musical The three bears and the stupid wolf in his First Air Date. For the writer of this special episode Walter Moers was awarded the 2009 Bavarian TV Award.

On 26 December 2009, the second television musical adventure in the forest Pizza was first broadcast.

From autumn 2014 the Lügenbär comes quite live as a new musical titled Captain Blue Bear - The children's musical on tour.
