Captain Capa

Captain Capa is a German Electronic band from Bad Frankenhausen. The band has since 2010 Audiolith Records, before they published on Cobretti Records.

History

In December 2007, published Captain Capa EP thesis Fights Are Never Over, a few months later, expanded again appeared to remixes, as a special edition. From this EP comes also published in March 2008 Single Adolescence.

The first album of the band, Tonight Is The Constant, was produced by the Hamburg electro - musician Norman Kolodziej ( Der Tante Renate, Bratze ) and was released in May 2009 Cobretti. The cover designed Hannes Naumann under the stage name " Ashi ".

By the critics, the album was well received. So Mathias Möller wrote for the online magazine Laut.de, Tonight Is The Constant was a " really decent plate ", " agree sound and direction " in the. He critically assessed, however, the frequent references to other titles and artists for the successor he wanted " a little more independence ." In the music magazine Intro Benjamin Walter was, the music did not have much in common with techno, but leave themselves more as " Hochgeschwindigkeitspop " classify, but the targets directly to the dance floor and beyond. In particular, he also emphasized the melodies and choruses of the title and the work of producer Kolodziej.

On the album, published in April trip with friends of the band Egotronic is titled You a coproduction with Captain Capa. Singer Hannes Naumann is also heard in tracks of the bands Yuri Gagarin and Kasaka as a guest voice.

In the summer of 2010, Captain Capa switched to the Hamburg label Audiolith. First release is a split EP with Super shirt, which bears the title Dead animals and appeared on October 8, 2010. At the same time, both bands go on one more month tour of Germany.

On 27 May 2011, appeared Captain Capa's second studio album Saved My Life, this was produced as Tonight Is The Constant Norman Kolodziej and appeared as the dead animals EP on Audiolith.

Captain Capa won in September 2011, the New Music Award, conferred by a young German Radio Music Award programs.
