Caramba

Caramba is a fun music project of the Swedish sound engineer and producer Michael B. Tretow with singer Ted Gärdestad and other musicians from the environment of ABBA.

In 1981 he recorded an album with cheerful songs in the styles of different countries. These nonsense texts were sung, which should subside after the respective national languages ​​. All participants selected for the credits also nonsense names, so far only few of them are known. Besides Tretow and Gärdestad that Caramba songs added to their greatest hits compilations, only the participation of ABBA accompanying drummer Roger Palm and Björn Skifs of Blue Swede is considered safe. Was published under the fictional name Label Trash Records.

The most popular song of the project is Hubba Hubba Zoot Zoot. He was known at the number -one hit in Sweden and Norway and in other European countries. In Germany the song in the credits of Sketch - music show Bananas ran.
