Caravan Palace

Caravan Palace is a native of France tape, which must be included in the field of Electro Swings. It consists of Charles Delaporte (bass, programming), Arnaud Vial (guitar, programming), Hugues Payen (violin, scat singing, programming), Colotis Zoé (vocals), Toustou (trombone, electronics) and Chapi ( clarinet).

Background

As musical influences of the band are Django Reinhardt, Vitalic, Cab Calloway, Justice, Lionel Hampton, Daft Punk, Billie Holiday and Oscar Alemán.

The band released 2008 self-titled debut album in France. For this album, two singles were released so far. 2008 Jolie Coquine initially, 2009 finally followed Suzy. In May 2009, the album was also released in Germany.

History

Initially intended only as an experiment, gypsy jazz and swing to connect the 1930 with club sounds, 2005 was a seriously intended project. Hugues Payen, Charles Delaporte and Arnaud Vial have successfully completed an instrumental training and contributed actively in the Parisian DJ scene. 2007 was the trio with its mix of jazz and house music extremely positive response from the world music fair WOMEX. With the eponymous debut album, Caravan Palace, the band managed in 2008 to 15th the French charts and # 3 on the iTunes charts.
