Carina Raich

Stecher Carina Raich ( born March 14, 1979 in Arzl ) is a former Austrian alpine skier. Your special discipline was the slalom. She is the sister of Skirennläufers Benjamin Raich.

Career

Raich showed in collective training as youngsters like talent as her brother Benjamin. She graduated from the Skigymnasium in Stams, after winning the Austrian Youth Championships in slalom she was included in the squad of the Austrian Ski 1996. In the winter of 1996/97 it was first thrown back by an injury and could incur no races throughout the season. After a fourth place finish in the slalom at the Austrian championship in 1998 and a number of good placings in FIS races and European Cup races she gave in December 2000 in Sestriere her debut in the World Cup. Three months later she was at the 2001 World Championships in St. Anton ninth in the slalom.
