Carl Abrahamsson

Karl Gustaf Emanuel " Carl, Calle But " Abrahamsson ( born May 1, 1896 in Södertälje, † December 25, 1948 ) was a Swedish professional ice hockey player. His brother Erik Abrahamsson was also a professional hockey player.

Career

At club level, Carl Abrahamsson played exclusively for his hometown club Södertälje SK. From 1924 to 1934, he joined with his team in the Swedish Championship. In the years 1925 and 1931 he won the national championship each with Södertälje.

Internationally

For Sweden Abrahamsson participated in the Olympic Winter Games in 1928 partly in St. Moritz, where he won the silver medal with his team. As the best European team at the Olympic Winter Games, he won the European Championship with his team. In addition, he was in his country's squad at the World Championships in 1931 and the European Championships in 1932. At Euro 1932 he was again with Sweden European champions.
