Carl Frode Tiller

Carl Frode Tiller ( born January 4, 1970 in Namsos, Norway) is a Norwegian writer who writes in Nynorsk.

Biography

Tiller grew up in Nord-Trøndelag. He studied literature, science, and history at the Natural Sciences and Engineering University of Norway, Trondheim.

2001 Tiller published his first novel titled Skråninga ( The Verge ), which was awarded the Tarjei - Vesaas price. The prize is awarded for the best literary debut one year. Also in 2001 he won the Audience Prize of P 2, a Norwegian radio station. The book was also nominated for the Bragepreis. A dramatized version of the book was listed at several Norwegian theaters, among others at Det Norske Teatret in Oslo.

Like his debut album also received his novels Bipersonar ( secondary characters ) and Innsirkling ( encirclement ) very good reviews. His books are translated into Swedish, Danish, Finnish, Icelandic, English, French and translated Russian. In magazines and anthologies and short prose of Tiller appeared.

Together with Håvard Thørring he forms the band Kong Ler, which has released two CDs.
