Carl Haglund

Carl Christoffer Haglund ( born March 29, 1979 in Espoo ) is a Swedish politician of finland Swedish People's Party ( sfp ) and since 2012 Finland's Defence.

Haglund obtained at Mattlidens school for university, studied at the Swedish School of Economics in Helsinki and graduated as a Master of Economics. He was from 2001 to 2005 Secretary General of the sfp youth organization Svensk Ungdom. He then founded the Finland-Swedish free newspaper Papper and led until 2007. Then he returned as an employee of sfp Minister Astrid Thors and Stefan Wallin in politics. In 2008 he rose to become Secretary of State in Wallins Finnish Ministry of Culture.

Haglund went through in the sfp local, district, and state boards. He was a member of the city council of Espoo. From 2009 to 2012, he was a member of the European Parliament. For him, Nils Torvalds moves up.

On June 10, 2012 Haglund was elected to succeed Stefan Wallin party chairman of the sfp. Shortly thereafter he replaced July 5, 2012 Wallin also as defense minister in the Cabinet Katainen.

Carl Haglund is married and has two children.
