Carl Johnson (athlete)

Carl Johnson (Carl Edward Johnson, born May 21, 1898 in Genesee, Michigan, † September 13, 1932 in Detroit ) was an American long jumper.

1918 and 1919 he scored with 7,295 m and 7.34 m Weltjahresbestleistungen.

At the 1920 Summer Olympics in Antwerp, he won with 7,095 m silver medal after Sweden William Petersson (7.15 m ) and before his compatriot Erik Abrahamsson (7.08 m).

Carl Johnson graduated from the University of Michigan.
