Carl Meissner

Carl Daniel Friedrich Meissner ( born November 1, 1800 Bern, † May 2, 1874 in Basel) was a Swiss botanist. Its official botanical author abbreviation is " Meisn. ".

Life and work

His surname was originally Meisner but later changed the spelling to Meissner. While the majority of the time his 40 -year career he was Professor of Botany in Basel.
