Carla Pavan

Carla Pavan ( born April 5, 1975 in Lethbridge ) is a Canadian Skeleton pilot.

Carla Pavan operates since 2002 Skeleton and belongs since 2005 to the Canadian national team. She lives in Calgary and is coached by former world class German pilot Willi Schneider. Her international debut was celebrated as a Seventh 2002 America's Cup race at their home track in Calgary. After several more races in the America's and the European Cup, she debuted in February 2004 in Altenberg, initially for a race in the World Cup ( 23 ). Since the season 2005/ 06 Pavan was a member of the Canadian World Cup team regulars. During the season they also won their first and only World Cup race in Igls.

The skeleton North America Championships 2004 in Calgary Pavan won silver behind Jessica Palmer. In 2003, she had already won bronze at the Canadian championships, 2004 and 2005, she was sixth. At the Olympic Winter Games in Vancouver in 2010, she came as a precursor to their last international use and cared for since the season 2010/ 11, the Canadian Skeleton America's Cup team.
