Carlos Alexis Cruz

Carlos Alexis Cruz Castañeda (often only briefly Carlos Cruz, born November 2, 1990 in the United States ) is a Honduran - American football player at the position of a striker. He currently plays for CD Motagua in the Liga Nacional de Fútbol de Honduras, the highest football league in the country.

Career

Career start at CD Motagua

Born in the United States Cruz, who owns both the citizenship of the U.S. and the home country of his ancestors because of his country of birth, nor was the young age in the youth department of the CD Motagua located in the Honduran capital Tegucigalpa. After he had gone through various youth leagues of the club, he came from the Clausura season 2008 / 09 for his first appearances for the first team in the Liga Nacional de Fútbol de Honduras. His professional debut was here on February 25, 2009, when he stood in the 3:4 away defeat against CD Platense from the start on the lawn and in the fifth minute scored the 1-0 goal for his team. Another Apertura short stint followed, before only in eighth place in the table finished the season with the team. To only use a Cruz came in the wake of the Apertura season of 2009/10 season, in which he again in the semifinals, this time against CD Olimpia failed with the team.

Among his most league inserts Cruz came to date ( June 2010) in the Clausura 2010, in which he completed three short assignments for Motagua and in the final table ranked on the first place in the table. Internationally

In 2007, Cruz was first appointed by Miguel Escalante in Honduras U-17 national team. With the team, he participated among others in the U-17 football World Cup 2007 in South Korea and came there in a group match against the U-17 National Team in Syria to a short stint, as he with in the 87 minutes for Ronald Martínez, which he also plays Motagua, came on the lawn of the Jeju World Cup stadium. With the team he retired after poor performance even in the group stage as the last of the group C from the current tournament. Overall, he came in his only year in the U-17 National Team on two international appearances, in which he remained scoreless, however.
