Carlos Álvarez (baritone)

Carlos Álvarez ( born August 12, 1966 in Málaga ) is a Spanish opera singer (baritone ).

Life and work

Carlos Álvarez studied at the conservatory in his hometown. His stage debut in 1990, he celebrated at the Teatro de la Zarzuela in Madrid in La Sorozábals Pablo del manojo de rosas. Since then he has appeared in leading roles in major opera houses in the world: La Scala, Covent Garden, the Opéra Bastille, the Gran Teatre del Liceu, the Palau de les Arts Reina Sofía, the Teatro Real, at the Bavarian as the Hamburg State Opera, the Metropolitan Opera New York, the Lyric Opera of Chicago, Washington National Opera and the Zurich Opera.
