Carlos Baliño

Carlos Baliño López ( born February 13, 1848 in Havana, † June 18, 1926 ) was a Cuban politician. He was one of the first to introduce Marxist ideas in Cuba.

Baliño founded in 1892 together with José Martí, the Partido Revolucionario Cubano and 1903 the Club de Propaganda Socialista, which is now regarded as the first organization with Marxist character on Cuba. Later, he should set up other socialist groups.
