Carlos Cavazo

Carlos Cavazo ( born July 8, 1957 in Mexico City) is an American musician and guitarist. He was from the early 1980s to 2001, a member of the American heavy metal band Quiet Riot and belongs since 2008 to the hard rock band Ratt.

Background

The guitarist co-founded with his brother Antonio Cavazo in Mexico City his first band "Speed ​​of Light". Later, both moved together to Los Angeles, where she the band " Snow" founded with drummer Stephen Quadros and singer Doug Ellison, which occurred regularly in the Whisky a Go Go and the Starwood Club. The group released an album.

Carlos Cavazo obtained from 1982 as a guitarist of Quiet Riot international notoriety. With this group he released eight albums, including the biggest success of the band, Metal Health owned. This record reached # 1 on the 1983 Billboard 200 and has sold over six million copies to date. Metal Health is considered the first heavy metal album that the top of the American album charts reached. Cavazo was involved in the songwriting of five of the ten songs on the album.
