Carlos Gómez (footballer)

Carlos Gómez Casillas ( * July 16, 1952 ) is a former Mexican football player at the position of the defender.

Life

Association

Gómez Casillas played in the 1970s, first for eight years at Club León, and then stood for one to two seasons at CF Monterrey, the Puebla FC and most recently at Atletico Potosino under contract, in whose ranks he his active career in the season 1983 / trailed off 84.

National

His debut in the dress of the Mexican national team was Carlos Gómez in a September 27, 1977 discharged friendly match, which was won 3-0 against the United States. His last international game he played on 31 January 1979 by the 0-1 defeat against the Soviet Union.

Highlight of his international career was the participation in the Football World Cup 1978, in which Gómez the last group match against Poland (1:3) played over the full distance.
