Carlos Roberto Gallo

Carlos Roberto Gallo, named Carlos, ( born March 4, 1956 in Vinhedo, State of São Paulo ) is a former Brazilian football goalkeeper.

During his career (1974-1993) he played for Ponte Preta, Corinthians, Atlético Mineiro, Guarani, Palmeiras, Portuguesa and Malatyaspor (1988-1990) in Turkey. He was twice elected to the Brazilian side of the year (so-called Silver Ball ).

He played between June 1980 and June 1993 37 times for Brazil. He belonged to the squad of the Brazilian team in the Copa América 1979, the Mundialito 1980/81, the 1978 World Cup, the 1982 World Cup and the World Cup 1986. Was only in the 1986 World Cup, he was used and cashed in five games only a goal in the quarter-finals against France by Michel Platini. Brazil was eliminated in a penalty shootout.
